At Work Today

En route to beeyard number 3
There's something strange that I did see
I'd like to share with all of you
Though it's been seen before, this time was new

She walked across the backyard lawn
Without a stitch of clothing on
A rural farmyard was her stance
Every direction she cast her glance

And then she saw us in our truck
Behind the clothesline she did duck
But all her glory I had seen
(My sight, with glasses, pretty keen)

I wouldn't say she was ashamed
But something else that can't be named
Like she was doing nothing wrong
But was my fault I came along

So I waved so long as we drove by
I suspect she breathed a relief sigh
A backward glance showed she watched us go
Relax my friends ... she was a doe
